Sartorials, scenics & sustenance

An Introduction

Millennials are a generation stuck in an internet limbo. We submerse ourselves in a world where every man and (quite literally) his dog has an Instagram account, where our Facebook newsfeed prioritises keeping up with the Kardashian's over first world issues. We are too afraid to release our outgoing social-media doppelgänger into reality for fear of embarrassment.

In the last three months I have learnt many invaluable life lessons. The main one? Life is short. So here I am, breaking free from the shadow of my social-media persona, throwing caution to the wind and starting something that I wish I had started earlier. I'm going to write about my life and more importantly my journey back to being healthy. The internet is rife with creative content and finding your own niche can be difficult.

William Zinseer wrote that "the most important sentence in any article is the first one. If it doesn't induce the reader to proceed to the second sentence, your article is dead. And if the second sentence doesn't induce him to continue to the third sentence, it's equally dead." However, I have to politely disagree. Significance should not be confined to one, two or even three sentences. Writing should be authentic and genuine throughout. I want to write about real life, real food, real experiences and whether you clicked on purpose or found your way here by accident, welcome.
